Hanger Store customers Loanhood are starting a retail revolution to help save the planet!
Rather than acquiring more and more clothes, which may never get worn, Loanhood enables people to swap good quality, pre-owned clothes. To see a BBC News clip about Loanhood and how it’s helping the environment, click on the image below.
The obvious hanger of choice for any sustainable outlet is our Eco Friendly Paper Fibreboard Range, These hangers are made from reclaimed materials, which might otherwise end up in landfill. Although they’re sometimes referred to as ‘cardboard’ they’re actually paper fibreboard, which is a lot tougher and more robust. But, like cardboard, you just put them in your normal recycling at the end of life. Nothing is wasted.
We stock 5 styles:
- an adult suit hanger with notches (43cm)
- an adult shirt or dress hanger (43cm)
- a child’s shirt/dress hanger with notches (30cm)
- a shoe hanger
- a flip-flop hanger.
We can also bring in bespoke hangers to match your exact requirements, subject to minimum quantities.
Our hangers have featured on BBC Radio before, but this is the first time on-screen. As you can see in the clip, these stock hangers look great as they are or with a simple brand logo. However, with a large flat surface front and back, they’re also ideal for if you want to print the whole hanger and maybe display a prominent message (like ‘Shop with us and Save the Planet!’). Vegetable-based inks are available, so printing the hangers doesn’t need to reduce their eco friendliness.
Finally, congratulations again to Loanhood for pioneering this new approach and for attracting the BBC’s attention. What a great way to start the New Year!
